Like the air we breathe, urban planning effects all city dwellers and visitors. We may not pay attention to it, or know why, but urban environments affect us every day. Yet despite the importance of urban planning, it remains an enigma, an unknown and unconscious entity.

Urban planning in its simplest definition, is the development, planning and design of land use to improve the public welfare. It’s a field that encompasses technical, political and even emotional aspects, as its impact affects the lives of everyone, daily.

Future Planners teach children to “read”, “see” and "feel" the city and community that surrounds them, using sustainability and STEAM concepts.  The sooner we bring city planning to life for children, activating curiosity, the more we ensure that as adults, their interest and participation in community life will become natural.
